Today we've had a wonderful Sunday together with our Brothers and Sisters from Hope Baptist Church, Kachere. In the past few months I haven't visited this church as often as I used to, and the reason is that now we have new churches that seem to need our help more. I was extremely glad to see that the church is growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and folks are becoming more and more mature spiritually.
The church was full, inasmuch as some people even had to listen from outside. As the missionary and the one that planted and started this church, my heart is full with joy to see them growing in the Lord and serving Him as a church!
Another thing that really impressed me was to find out that the members had actually met at the church one hour prior to the beginning of the service. Their purpose was to listen to the Word of God, played from a Renew Outreach solar-powered audio Bible. Statistically, 60% of the adults in Malawi's rural areas are illiterate, and these audio Bibles are their only way to come close to the Word of God.
