Updates on Siyeni

Siyeni is the boy I already wrote about in a previous article and now I just wanted to let you know that he is feeling much better, may God be glorified for that.

More than 5 weeks ago we took Siyeni to a hospital in Blantyre, place where he is even today. The doctors keep him there under observation and to run more tests. Recently, Siyeni had to undergo exploratory surgery, the doctors wanting to see exactly what causes the severe swelling of his abdomen.

The results of that operation came in and, according to what we've heard, his intestines are not in their place in the abdominal cavity. He will need to undergo 3 more surgeries which should correct the problem, during each of those he will be allowed to go home.

Keep praying for Siyeni. Overall, he has changed a lot already. He is happy, talkative, he plays and tells jokes, just like other kids his age. I realized immediately that he is no longer in pain and slowly, but surely, he is getting better.
