This month we celebrated the birthdays of our two precious girls, Aimee and Jessica. Aimee is now 7 while Jessica is 8 and, as a gift, we got them a new pet: Taz, the parrot.
He is an African Grey Parrot, the Congo type. We had to get an African one, since we live in Africa, isn't it? 😀

Taz is 18 years old, but birds like this one kept in captivity can easily reach 50-60. The previous owner took very good care of him and Taz is very well socialized. We can touch him, we can pet him, we can hold him and he can even speak quite a few words like: "Good boy", "Hello", "Oh-oh" or "Careful", the latter especially when we hold him!
